Malcolm X, born as Malcolm Little was an American Muslim Minister and a human rights activist. to people across the Nation he was a Courageous Advocate for the rights of African Americans, African American Women, and Muslims all across the Country who fought the harshest side of racism and was surrounded by death constantly.
In his early life Malcolm X was orphaned. His Father passed away when Malcolm was 6 and his mother was placed in a mental hospital when he was 13 after which he lived in a series foster care facilities and homes. When Malcolm was at the young age of 20 he was put in Jail for an unknown amount of years due to bias judging of racist white judges. While serving in Prison for breaking and entering, Larson and other crimes he became a member of the Nation of Islam. Studying books and other sacred texts while being incarcerated he became interested very fast. After being Paroled in 1952 he quickly became one of the most influential and respected leaders.
In 1964, 1 year before his assassination Malcolm expressed hate and regret for the Nation of Islam including these feelings from its leader, Elijah Muhammad. After leaving he became a Sunni Islamist which including taking a pilgrimage to Mecca, a very big ritual in the eyes of Sunni Muslims.
Shortly after leaving the Nation of Islam in 1965 Malcolm X was assassinated by three of its members. Malcolm's Biography was published after his death and is considered one of the most influential books ever written.
